Managing Blog Privacy

Your blog is not private, anyone who stumbles upon it or knows the URL can read your posts and pages, as well as comments. However, you can control whether search engines will look at your blog and password-protect individual posts and pages.

To hide your blog from Search Engines and the Blog Portal: Click on the Settings → Privacy submenu. On this page you have two choices:

  • I would like my blog to be visible to everyone, including search engines (like Google, Sphere, Technorati) and archivers and in public listings around this site.

You can also password-protect individual posts and pages. While you are editing the post or page, scroll down to Password Protect this Post/Page and enter a password then click Save. Once you publish the post or page, it will say “This post is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:” with a textbox and submit button.
