Adithi Rao ’97 publishes a book with her sister

Indian alumna Adithi Rao ’97 is an author of books for both children and adults.  Her most recent book, Growing up in Pandupur features 13 stories and was written in collaboration with Adithi’s sister, Chatura.

The book’s stories take place in the fictional Indian town of Pandupur and centers around the children in the town. The stories deal with issues of children’s development and their relationships with those around them. According to the Daily News & Analysis E-paper, Adithi says, “children can’t spell out their problems. Through this book, we try to tell readers about a child’s psychology. The book also helps instill in children some of the lessons that life teaches us all, but without any moral tones whatsoever.”
