Class of 2015 by the numbers

After a record 4,128 applicants, Smith College has 797 new students joining the college this fall. The incoming first year class has enrolled 711 students and there are 30 new Ada Comstock Scholars coming to campus.

This year marks Smith's largest group of incoming international students. Students are joining the college from the 36 countries listed here.

This year Smith is welcoming it’s largest international population to date, with 106 incoming international students from 36 countries across the globe.

The 106 new international students join 73 international students of the class of 2014, 82 from the class of 2013, and 48 from the class of 2012.

Additionally, Smith college has a diverse domestic population as well. Six percent of the student body self-identifies as African American, seven percent identify as Latina, two percent identify as Native American, and seventeen percent identify as Asian American.
