Jeannie Cho Lee ’90 releases “Mastering Wine for the Asian Palate”

This summer Master of Wine Jeannie Cho Lee ’90 promoted the launch of her new book, Mastering Wine for the Asian Palate.

Jeannie, who was born in Seoul and is now based in Hong Kong, became a Master of Wine in 2008.  In doing so, she joined fewer than 300 others with the title and became the first ethnic Asian to earn the distinction. A Master of Wine is internationally recognized “as the pinnacle of professional achievement in the world of wine.”

Jeannie’s official website, Asian Palate, is billed as “the juncture where Asian food and wine meet.” Her website and new book are the follow up to Jeannie’s first book, Asian Palate, which was published in 2009. Asian Palate was well-received, earning the “Best Food and Wine Pairing Book in the World” award at the 2010 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards and won a number of other awards in 2010 and 2011.
