Pandit Devashish Dey, one of North India’s most acclaimed classical vocalists and a current visiting professor of music at Smith will perform classical North Indian vocal music on campus this Saturday, February 11. He will be accompanied by Dibyarka Chatterjee on tabla.
The event, which begins at 7:30 p.m. in Earle Recital Hall, Sage, is free and open to the public. It is the first of four concerts to be performed by Devashish this spring and is sponsored by the Office of the Provost and Dean and Faculty, the South Asia Concentration, and the music department, along with other five-college resources.
