All undergraduate students of the Five Colleges are invited to submit abstracts of papers to present at the Second Annual Five College Undergraduate Conference for Middle Eastern and North African studies, hosted by Hampshire College on April 21.
Presentations will be restricted to 20 minutes each. Students writing a senior thesis, Division III, or seminar paper are especially urged to consider presenting their work. Film, photo essays, group projects, and multimedia installations are also welcomed.
The deadline for submission is Monday. Students should submit an abstract of no more that 100 words, along with a title, their name, and college affiliation to 5collegeME@gmail.com by March 19. Papers will be organized by student representatives from the Five Colleges into appropriate panels.
Evening entertainment for conference participants and their guests is planned. The conference will take place on Saturday, April 21 at Hampshire College’s Franklin Paterson Hall.
