A new Fulbright application cycle is now open for juniors and sophomores.
Smith has a tradition of winning Fulbrights that help you while you help others through different fields for a year after graduating in 155 countries. Juniors and sophomores who are U.S. citizens with a 3.4+ GPA who are interested in applying to the Fulbright program, should read through the guidelines and process for applying.
Also, on Tuesday, March 27, Anna White-Nockleby ’09, will present A Fulbright as a Stepping Stone to Graduate Study at noon in the Dewey Common Room.
Anna will talk about how her Fulbright research on political theater and historical trauma in Buenos Aires helped her lay the groundwork for doctoral study in Spanish literature. For nearly forty years, Argentine playwrights, actors, and directors have created innovative and daring artistic responses to the violence of the dictatorship (1976-1983). She will then speak about her intellectual pathway after graduation from Smith in 2009.
The event is sponsored by the Department of Spanish & Portuguese and the Global Studies Center.
