On Friday, April 6, EKTA (the South Asian Student Association of Smith) will present the Jhalak cultural show (including dinner and after party), featuring performances by South Asian student organizations, including Bollywood dance troupe SC Masti.
Ekta, which means “unity” or “harmony” in several South Asian languages, is a support network for all South Asian students at Smith College. Its members seek to create an awareness and understanding of the identity and culture of South Asia within the community at large through educational, cultural and social programs.
Events begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Campus Center Carroll Room.
