Smithies participating in the East Asian Studies program are eligible to apply for the Mary Maples Dunn Prize.
The prize, named for a former president of Smith College is awarded for an essay written within the current or the three preceding semesters in a regular course in the program in East Asian Studies. Essays originally submitted in seminars, for special studies or as honors theses are not eligible.
