On Monday, May 7, alumna Maggie McCaffrey ’10 will share her experiences as a volunteer and a Praxis intern in Patagonia, Argentina, with Argentine NGO Fundacíon Patagonia Natural.
The volunteer program is perfect for any student interested in environmental studies or the natural sciences. Volunteers live and work on a converted sheep farm that operates as a wildlife reserve tracking puma activity, working in the rescue and rehabilitation of wild animals, observing a wide variety of marine life such as penguins, whales, sea lions, and orcas and practicing their Spanish. A once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience one of the Earth’s last wild places.
The presentation will take place on Monday, May 7 at 4:30 p.m. in the Center for the Environment, Ecological Design, and Sustainability (CEEDS), Wright Hall.
