Savoring sushi with Sazanami

Upon entering Unity House, one could smell the savory scent of takoyaki being fried over the kitchenette stove, as members of the club were split between the tasks of slicing new sushi ingredients and helping customers make custom sushi at tables arranged in the main room.

1. Sushi Workshop/ Tag Sale– Friday, February 13th 5-7:30pm, Unity House
(this is what we are aiming for.)
a.) Food that will be served: Sushi, takoyaki miso soup (we can make up
to 100 takoyaki :P)

2. Sushi Workshop Practice Session– Thursday, February 12th,
6:00-7:30pm, Unity House
a.) Basically, members of Saza will help one another to learn how to
cook the food that will be sold at the Sushi Workshop the next day. It
will be a great experience to reconnect with friends and a study break!

3. Lunar New Year Celebration– Saturday, February 28th 6:00-8:00pm,
Carroll Room, Campus Center.
a.) Sazanami will participate and use two tables; one to serve sushi
and/or leftovers from the sushi workshop and the other table for a
possible origami workshop?

4. Rhythm Nations– April 6th!! 😛
a.) Fashion Show and then performed our REVISED Super Mario Brothers
skit that we did at Asian Tea House.
Note: We must start collecting Japanese inspired outfits (Lolita,etc.)
that will be used in the fashion-show.
Note: We are thinking about having a visual display as a background as
we walk the runway!

Ennichi is this coming Saturday from 11:00am-3:00pm at Chapin Lawn.

Thanks to Gladys who designed the following poster and table tent. We are all gearing up to have a busy day, and don’t forget to come to the Asian Tea House @ Sage at 7:30pm to cheer for our dancers.

3rd Meeting Agenda (10/21)

Our third GB meeting will be on Tuesday 10/21 at Chase House from 5:30pm.
We are meeting in the language table room.  When you enter the dining room, make an immediate left! You will find a huge room opposite the public bathroom!

We will talk about….
-Time Table Sign up sheet for the different booths for Ennichi
-Cooking (Okonomiyaki) sign up sheet for Saturday morning
-Who will be wearing the yukatas

– sign-up for dance performance @ Asian Tea House
