CAMERA CLUB The Camera Club was founded in 1938 in order to “encourage the taking and making of photographs among Smith College students; to bring the accomplishments and the findings of the individual before the group; to provide the means and encouragement to the would-be exhibitor.” The club held monthly meetings at which numerous guest speakers were featured and sponsored a campus-wide photo competition each year.
