Information about the SWE Region F Conference (Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Smith College) is available on the Region F Conference Website.
You can also register online for $20 before March 6, 2009, or for $25 after that date.
As you may or may not know, this years swe national conference attendees were Sangay Kazi, Teresa Berra, Joyce Cheung, Marni Mallari, Emma Dalton and Amna Sarfraz.
The conference this year was in Baltimore, MD, and included both technical and career development breakout sessions, an enormous career fair including everyone from United States Steel to Kellogs to Disney, a collegiate poster competition, and an amazing performance by the Harlem Gospel Choir. Next years conference will be held in Long Beach, CA, and is sure to be exciting (not to mention warm).
We are experimenting with this new blog format as our main online resource, instead of the website. We hope that this will fascilitate ease-of-use for both board members and any SWE members with questions. I want this to be a place for meeting notes, calls for volunteers (especially with our upcoming Regional Conference), information about events, etc.
