If you have Firefox 3 installed on your computer, you are likely to see a “Page Load Error: Secure Connection Failed” the first time you try to connect to the network via Cisco Clean Access in your residence house.

If you have Firefox 3, you may want to print these instructions before you arrive on campus:

1. At the bottom of the error page, click on:  Or you can add an exception.
2. Click on the Add exception button.
   
3. In the next window, click on the Get Certificate button, then on the Confirm Security Exception button.
   
4. If necessary, repeat steps 1-3 above.
5. Now you can login to the Smith Residential Network using your Novell username & password.

That will solve the problem, and you can continue logging on as usual.
