Well, friends, here we are in a new year, 2012, the year with a bad rap according to the Mayans. As a planet, we’ve been through doomsday predictions before. The one thing they all have in common: they’re all no-shows.
Let’s stop finding excuses to just give up. No doomsday is going to come sweep us off our tired feet and carry us away to some place better…or worse. Don’t let others’ short-sighted fears discourage you or give you an excuse not to keep on keepin’ on.
So, with that said…what about New Year’s Resolutions? WAIT, don’t give up on me just yet. I’m talking about tiny, mini-goals that you can actually meet every day or three times per week or however you choose to set them up. Check out this website I found to see how micro-resolutions work!
One of my micro-resolutions is to play with my cats outside even when it’s dark or cold for 5 minutes each day. I get a little more exercise, my cats love me even more, and I ward off winter depression.
Listen, folks. It ain’t over til it’s over. And as long as we’re still breathing, we have the opportunity to feel better, act better, look better, live better, and be better.
