CISCO stands for Chinese Inter-regional Student Cultural Organization. CISCO is a cultural club that celebrates diversity and traditions. The Chinese community on the Smith Campus is and wants to be recognized as a diverse group that welcomes everyone to appreciate our effort in celebrating the commonality that subsisted over thousands of years. We hope to maintain a wonderful juxtaposition of unity and diversity of the Chinese culture, and let creativity and jubilance enhance the liberal atmosphere at Smith.

CISCO's mission is to understand, share, and enjoy the multiple aspects of the Chinese Culture has created many goals:

To generate awareness of the Chinese traditions and holidays in the community through fun and creative events.

To create a social space on campus for those who are interested in learning about or want to share the Chinese culture.

To act as a liaison between the Chinese language program at Smith and the Smith community to create an effective learning environment for the students studying the Chinese language.
