Set-up Procedure

On Friday, the convention begins at 4pm, therefore artists should come at around 3pm for set-up. The artroom will be open for the rest of the convention too. However, art must be removed from the rooms at closing time and can be set-up again the following morning. Try to come in at least 1/2 hour before opening times for set-up though you can also come in later (as long as you have a table reserved for you! You're paying for the table, you might as well be there!

Table Fees

- $20 per table (or $10 for 1/2 a table to be shared with someone else!)
Artist alley tables work on a first come, first serve basis, due to the limited number of tables and space. As the date for the convention draws nearer, artists may have to share their tables with another artist. Two can sit at one table quite comfortably.

- Payment must be received by the Heads of Conbust (Shannon, Kathy, or Chrissy) at least 2 weeks in advance of the convention (the earlier the better, no?)

- Cash or checks accepted (checks must be made to "Conbust"). Either hand it to us in person or mail to:

Content

To match our Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Anime Convention, we ask that artists display art that is related to these themes. Abstract, realistic, painted, pencilled, whatever -- if you want to show your glorious talent just make sure it fits the scene! Also, any pieces you have that you think might be controversial (there will be younguns around) make sure you don't have that sprawled out on the table; but don't feel you necessarily have to hide it. Just be courteous of people around and use your common sense. =)

All work should be your original art. You may display pieces of existing characters, or scenes/situations, but you may not display copies of work that is not yours. If you are displaying fanart be sure you are giving appropriate credit where it is due. (copyrights...scary but real!)

Guidelines

- Various products of the artist’s creation are allowed to be sold, but there is no place to store anything, so don’t bring more than you can handle.-

Small merchandise promoting the artist is allowed at the tables, but all of it must be original of the artist selling it. Commercial and other anime-based merchandise is not allowed as that stuff is what the dealers tables are for.

We also strongly request that artists remain at their tables so that no cases of "missing art" come up and so that you can be there when interested patrons come by! If you are going to leave, you can either have a familiar there to watch your stuff, or put up a "temporarily away" sign of some sort and trust that you are alluring art will remain safe. In short, we are not to be held responsible for lost/stolen work -- it is the artist's responsibility. =)
