SC Masti is Smith's first ever South Asian dance team. Established in 2007, SC Masti has set its goal to dazzle audineces with a unique blend of South Asian dance styles. SC Masti is shory for Smith College and "Masti", the South Asian word meaning fun and playfullness-which is perfect in describing the personalities and spirit of all teh team's members as well. Our genre fuses a multitude of sounds with South Asian, African, and Western backgrounds. Our goal is to create links amongst the five-college communiny in addition to other colleges and their respective dance teams who also support a similar goal. SC Masti is determined to spread and showcase the diversity and richness of South Asian culture throughout the community.
