Feminists of Smith Unite! is an organizaztion that is dedicated to the interrogation and eradication of sexism on our campus, our community and the wider world. We are simultaneously dedicated to fight racism, classism, homophobia, transphobia and ableism, and to strive to understand the way these oppressions interact with sexism. We are a pro-choice organization,that seeks not to make judgements on the choices that individual women make, but to protect their ability to make those choices for themselves. We seek to be a forum where dialogue between all viewpoints is encouraged. We seek to raise awareness of the reality of sexism and gender inequality. We are enthusiastic about the potential for coalitioning with other organizations, and the chance to be a truly dynamic feminist presence on Smith campus. We seek to interrogate and respond to the diverse challenges that women face and will work to increase women and girls' active participation in their schools and communities. We celebrate the current and historical acheivements of women and affirm the myriad of realities that have brought us all to feminist struggle.
