Sara Abrams
I majored in
Architecture at Smith and then took a year off to work in the field. I
took a few classes, applied to grad schools, and worked in different
offices- one on long island, one in Charleston, and one in Israel.
This fall I enrolled in a 3-year Grad program for a masters of
architecture from UNC Charlotte. I'm not currently playing
hockey =( but I have all of my equipment in the closet ready for a
pick up game when I find the time.

Julia Alesbury ('05)
Julia graduated from Smith in 2005 after serving two consecutive
years as co-president of the hockey team (with Kate O'Donnell, ('05).
She then moved to Vermont and began working as a case manager at a
methadone clinic in Burlington. Although she very much enjoyed her
time in Vermont, she recently packed it all up to move to Washington,
DC. She doesn't know what she'll be doing there, but she hopes to find
a job soon and then eventually go back to school for her MSW. She very
much misses her Smith Ice Hockey days, and wishes the current team all
the best!

Melissa works at Morgan Stanley in New York, doing investment banking.
Melissa plans to move to San Francisco in July, while continuing to
work for Morgan Stanley. She is still playing hockey, played over the
summer at Chelsea Piers in New York City. Her team, "Chicks with
Sticks", won the Women's Division. She is signed up to play 4 on 4
coed ice hockey at central park this winter. Melissa is also learning
to play squash. Contact email is

Danielle
Morello ('07)
I'm in
Miami working with Teach for America in Lorah Park Elementary School.
If you want to know about the program you can check out www.teachforamerica.org. I'm currently the gatekeeper to hell (aka
teaching first grade). I live a few blocks from the beach but somehow
never manage to get there. I'm playing hockey with a women's team out
of Ft. Lauderdale, and on occasion still wear my Smith Hockey warm-up
pants to practice. If any SC hockey alums want to leave the snow for a
few days to hit the beach, my apartment is (almost) always open.

Kate
O'Donnell ('05)
Kate graduated
from Smith in 2005 after serving for two years as Ice Queen (scheduler
for those of you not in the know) and two years as co-president with
Julia Alesbury. She then moved back home to New Jersey to work as a
teacher for children with special needs and to attend Teachers
College, Columbia University for her M.A. in Educational Leadership.
When she finishes up her degree in October '08 she will begin working
on curriculum development for special education. She doesn't find much
time to play ice hockey these days, but is well known for wearing her
team t-shirt to the gym. All the best to the current team and all
those who follow!!
