Were you, your parents, or their parents born in a country or
island deemed Latin@ or Hispanic? If the answer is yes, you’re
a Latina. Nosotras isn’t about being able to speak Spanish
and cooking rice and beans. What brings us together is our association
with the Latina roots that we identify with. Even if you don't
meet these characteristic and just want to learn about our culture
get involved and join a meeting!

The magnificent ladies of Nosotras, with collaboration and enthusiasm raised $380.00 for A Mother's Wish Foundation in the Dominican Republic. The foundation directs a clinic and community center, Pequeños Pasitos (“Small Steps”), which provides for 1500 people who live in five rural communities that are located in the mountains outside of Santiago, Dominican Republic.

We commend all participating members for their involvement, without them, we would not have succeeded.

Katherine Lebron is looking for dancers to form a dance group, she wants to incorporate hip-hop, salsa, merengue, bachata, and other forms of dance. If you are interested please email klebron@smith.edu to get more information about the auditions, times, etc.
