Fall 2008
Sept 19
Happy Talk Like a Pirate Day!
This meeting we will be taking nomiations for the new social chair! A great way to get more involved with SSFFS. The elections will be Sept 26. Afterwards, we'll be playing charades. Remember to bring money for dues! You'll be allowed to vote for social chair regardless, but any voting after that is restricted to dues-paying members.

Sept 26
Elections for Social Chair! You can still nominate yourself/other people (if they accept) up until the voting starts! We'll also begin talking about themes for the live action chess match (past years pictures will be up soon), as well as explaining what that is, exactly. After all this, we'll be playing verus battles, which is exactly what it sounds like: 'character A' vs 'character B', who wins?
Also today: Talia will be holding a movie night "for first years, transfers, and other newcomers to SSFFS! There will be snacks. It will be fun. You should come. (Non-newcomers are welcome as well, of course.)" - This is Friday [9/26] at 7:30PM in the SSFFS library. If you're still not sure where that is, ask someone to show you after the meeting.

Oct 03
Voted on Chess Match theme, Steampunk vs Cyberpunk won. Also played Mafia/Werewolf.

Oct 09 [Emergency Meeting]
We need to pick chess peices before everyone leaves for Fall Break (due to limited time after Fall Break), so we're holding a short meeting at 5:00PM in Seelye 208 (normal meeting room) on Thursday, Oct 9th.

Oct 10
Happy Fall Break! If you're still around for the meeting, we'll be playing board games.

SSFFS Potluck! Make something for everyone to eat, or just come and eat other people's food. We'll be in Unity House for this. The 'meeting' will officially start at the normal time (4:30), but people will be around cooking as early as noon. We'll be watching Dr Horrible's Sing Along Blog and Galaxy Quest (and perhaps one other movie), and will also have board games going throughout the evening.
