Want to be involved in Smith SWE?

It's easy! We have several events throughout the year, dates for which will be posted...

S'Mores Roast
--To kick off another wonderful year of engineering SWE starts the fall semester with a smore's roast.

SWE Hartford Dinner
--Meet and network with professional engineers at all stages in their carreers.

Membership Drive
--SWE has a party culminating in a raffle with a USB drive as the grand prize

Engineering Holiday Party (co-sponsored by the engineering department, SWE, EWH, ESW, and SAE)
--Wonderful company, and free food! This event occurs just before the end of Fall Semester. Professors come with their families, and mingle with the students for a de-stress party.

National SWE Confrence
--A great chance to network and make new engineering friends from all over the country. Held in a different city every year this event allows national members access to several days of seminars and carreer fairs.

Region F SWE Confrence
--Similar to the National Conference, but on a smaller scale.

Lunchbox Series
--A series of low-key information sessions.
--Past topics have included such things as: "What I Wish I Had Known as a First Year", "Graduate School", "Internship Experiences", "Resume Help","Work-Life Balance", "Math Review", and "Graphing Effectively" .
--Our Special Events Programming Chair is always looking for more ideas, so if there's a topic that you'd like to know more about and don't see here, please let us know.

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day
--Local middle-school-age girls come to campus for a day and learn about many different aspects of engineering. It's incredibly fun.
