WOZQ, established in 1949, is first and foremost Smith College's FM station, committed to bringing high-quality programming to the campus and its audience at large. As new forms of media emerge, WOZQ believes it is important to uphold radio as a unique means of communication and cultural exchange with the community. As an independent, student-run radio station, WOZQ serves as an alternative to corporate media, providing local and national communities with diverse music, news, and events that may not otherwise reach mainstream audiences. Further, WOZQ is one of the oldest stations completely run by women and provides empowerment through involvement in broadcasting. We serve the Pioneer Valley area of Western Massachusetts, and can be found at 91.9 FM.
