Ruth's niece, Jane Axamethy, was married to Jim Strickler at Jane's one-room schoolhouse in Grooville, NY, near Livingston Manor is the western Catskills.

The bridal party arrived in a farm wagon drawn by a tractor and then came down a path through trees into the schoolhouse yard.

Here is Jane receiving the preacher's blessing and the couple exchanging rings.

Her attendants were five little girls, including her nieces Megan (L) and Rachel (2nd from R), as well as the daughters of friends.

Here is the happy couple with Jane's mother Betty on the left, and her sister Susan and her husband Jim Egan, and Jane with her other sister Linda.

Here they are with a friend whose name I am not sure of, it may have been Sarah, and Susan and her husband enjoying themselves.

There was a marvelous small band who live near by playing country and folk music and lots of waltzes. Ruth is dancing with our younger daughter Patricia.

Jim was seen playing the guitar, and here he is with his brother Chris.

Of course there was cake, and here is Jane with her sisters and niece Rachel

And here I am with Ruth, and our daughters Patricia (L) and Judy.
