allow us to introduce ourselves. we're two friends who love reading more than just about anything else. cait and josh live in fairbanks, alaska. we met at a book discussion group at our library in alaska in 2000 and were close friends immediately. being the insane, obsessive people that we are, we started looking for photographs that we felt captured the essence of our favorite characters in some of our favorite books. some were easy, but most were difficult. we browsed model search engines, movie and television databases, photo galleries, magazines, and more looking for the photo that would scream, "look at me! i'm sabriel!", or "i'm taran!". on 26 september 2003, josh was killed in a car accident. i decided to close fiorituralibri and stop updates...but i realized that one of the ways i can keep him alive for me is to remember him by working on the site we made together. i won't update often. i'll try to "listen" to him and only put up photos i think he would approve of. but fiorituralibri will remain, a testament to all the fun we had making it. we hope you enjoy. please note that we would be very disappointed if our vision of the characters influenced your own. for this reason we strongly recommend that you not look at the pictures unless you have previously read the books so that you can form your own opinions first. we suggest that to view this page you have your resolution set to 1024 by 768 or higher, otherwise the pictures will appear really large and mess with the table coding.
we'd really appreciate it if you take a few minutes to email us to let us know what you think of the pictures we chose!
08.february.2006 note: the pictures below are not pictures of the disclaimer - josh and caitlin do not own any of the images on this site. they were found, as stated above, in assorted magazines and web sites. on the off chance that you own one of these images and feel that it is in violation of your rights, please let us know and we will remove the offending image. Please don't sue us, as we have no money - it won't get you a whole lot. you can have our allowances if you really, really want them, but know that it means we may have to start begging on the streets. ;-)
