I believe I have traveled quite a lot for my 19 years - first
with my parents (my dad is in the Navy, so he got to go all over the place),
then by myself. The first time I left home for a long time was at
the age of 15, and since then I haven't been home much. And seems
like I'll never be again...
But I am extremely satisfied with the way my life is turning out.
I am very lucky to live in Northampton,
MA and go to Smith college (not
to say that I think I'm very lucky just to be in the US). I enjoy
Smith (it is my second year here), and I have a lot of fun plans for the
future.
One of these plans - the one that excites me the most right now - is
spending
my junior year in Geneva. I've never been to Europe before, so
I am really looking forward to the opportunity to see it.
But right now I am still on campus, living in Gardiner House, going
to the Quad parties on the week-ends, studying for my Spanish, French and
Turkish classes in CFLAC (Center for Foreign Languages and Cultures), and
dancing salsa at Peking Garden restaurant on Friday nights.
You can probably find me either at Amherst Starbucks sipping coffee
after my Amherst class, at the UMass Ballroom team practices, dancing
tango at Smith Berenson studio on Thursday nights, putting up posters
about Smith events on five college campuses or installing software at Smith
College Desctop Technology Services office. If I'm not there, I'm
probably at Herrel's - the best ice-cream place on the planet!
