Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Interests -- also for Families and Friends

The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force is a progressive civil rights organizations with information on legal advocacy for gay and lesbian interests.

PFLAG -- for Parents Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays -- is an organization for parents, families and friends of lesbian and gays of all ages. There are many state or local web sites as well as organizations in most states. "Tips and tactics" for conversation with family to lobbying. Strong advocacy and legislative information.

A wide range of files and links are available from the Queer Resources Directory.

Wesleyan University's Diversity Pages includes LG links.

Yahoo! under Communities -- LGB offers a search engine and a range of links to gay, lesbian and bisexual community organizations, but the geographic coverage is spotty.

GLOradio's Outsurfin' offers information for Gays. Lesbians and Bisexuals of many cultures and ethnicities. Karen Wickre searches a wide range of sites and also offers RealAudio sound clips of her on-line magazine. Check past issues -- September 1997 had great and varied cross-cultural and international content.

The Deaf Queer Resource Center is a national non-profit resource and information center founded and directed by Deaf Queer activist Dragonsani Renteria

Blackstripe is a page for SGL (Same gender loving), Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transsexuals of African descent.

The National Black Lesbian and Gay Leadership Foundation offers resources for Black Lesbians and Gays nationwide.


Transsexual Organizations and Sites

The Transgender Forum Resource Center offers a variety of links. Their annotated bibliography and links to support groups are strong.

The Transfamily of Cleveland Home page offers educational and support information to families and friends of transgendered individuals, as well as many links on these topics. Their transgender community sites links are extensive and include psychological, medical/surgical and legal issues.


Bisexual Organizations and Sites

The Bisexual Resource Center offers educational and advocacy information including publications and a lengthy set of links.

The Soc Bi offers a resource list, community and regional organization links and general links of interest.

A personal introduction to realizing bisexuality in a straight world is offered in a personal page by Raven. Links to other stories on coming out bi are offered.

COLAGE is a San Francisco-based support and advocacy organization for daughters and sons of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender parents.

The Family Pride Coalition out of San Diego, CA seeks to advance the well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered parents and their families through mutual support, community collaboration, and public understanding.

Run "Gay Parenting" on the American Psychological Association search engine for a good list of print resources and contacts.

The Gay Parent Online Magazine offers resources to those who wish to become parents.
