I'm engaged! That's right! I, Julia Parish, am going to marry Jeffrey Morris. Welcome back to my site. I'm updating again after a slight hiatus (today is April 8th, 2004). I graduated from Smith College in 2003 and immediately rushed off to my new job as a child protection worker for the State of Alaska. I live in the flat, tundra wilderness of Bristol Bay, and cover 24 small villages out of my one-woman office. Child protection is the hardest job I have ever done, and might possibly be the hardest I will ever face. In other news, I have recently accepted an offer of admission at Temple University to get my PhD in psychology with Professor Kathy Hirsh-Pasek (and be near my sweetie, Jeffrey Morris). I have accepted a $20,000 per year stipend during my first two years (with guaranteed funding for a full five years), and can't wait to begin my research at the Infant Laboratory this summer! Enjoy, and please feel free to drop me a line in my guestbook! |
