Madeleine and Ian smiling at the ferry terminal in Alaska
Madeleine and
Ian are precious--John and Kirsten adopted Madeleine from an
orphanage in Vietnam and then adopted Ian from the same place a few years
later. Both of the
children are very bright, and have quite the little personalities!
Kirsten, Maddie, Ian and Tara came up to visit Alaska early in the summer
of 2001, and it was such a joy to have them stay at the Parish house for
the few days that they could.
Kirsten is interested in a new art/dance form called "eurythmy". She is very artistically oriented and is quite talented. Her children are very lucky to be raised in such a musical, artistic household with a doting mother and father.
Uncle John is a jet-setter! He's not shown in these pictures because he travels a lot for work--and good work it is! He has a consulting firm that helps countries develop renewable energy. I always hear that Uncle John is in England for two weeks, or South America... Such an interesting job, and it's environmentally responsible (even helpful)!
Tara is Auntie Kirsten's German Shepherd mix pet, and she's beautiful.
Even more important than good looks, however, is the fact that Tara is the
most well-behaved dog I have ever met. She comes when called, lays down,
stays off the carpet, and will respond to a mere throat-clearing from
Kirsten. Wow.
Kirsten is a wonderful gardener, and the children are happy and creative. John is a loving daddy, the dog stays off the carpet, and life is pretty good. I love my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins. :)
Send Auntie Kirsten an e-mail.
