http://www2.icftu.org : The International Confederation of Free Trade Unions(ICFTU) was set up in 1949 and has 215 affiliated organizations in 145 countries and territories on all five continents, with a membership of 125 million of whom 43 million are women. It has three major regional organizations, APRO for Asia and the Pacific, AFRO for Africa, and ORIT for the Americas. It also maintains close links with the European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC) (which includes all ICFTU European affiliates) and International Trade Secretariats, which link together national unions from a particular trade or industry at international level. The ICFTU cooperates closely with the International Labor Organization and has consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council and with specialized agencies such as UNESCO, FAO, etc. It maintains contacts with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the World Trade Organization and has offices in Geneva, New York and Washington.

International labor rights are human rights necessary for life and dignity. The ILRF pursues legal and administrative actions on behalf of working people, creates innovative programs and enforcement mechanisms to protect workers' rights, and advocates for better protections for workers through our publications, testimony before national and international hearings, and speeches to academic, religious, and human rights groups. The ILRF focuses on linking trade expansion to enforcement of internationally recognized worker rights in order to more broadly distribute the benefits of increased global trade and economic integration and to strengthen democratic polities and civil societies.

http://www.labornet.org/ : LaborNet was founded in 1991 to build a democratic communication network for the labor movement. LaborNet's founders believe that the new communication technology must be put to use to revitalize and rebuild the labor movement. Recently, the LaborNet Steering Committee decided that the Institute for Global Communications was no longer the right organization to run LaborNet. LaborNet is now an independent network that seeks to build up labor communication for all working people.

In the wake of the Asian financial crisis, the Group also called for international arrangements for the supervision and regulation of financial markets and institutions.
