Note: This letterbox can be easily done on the same day as the High Ledges Letterbox in Shelburne. Do the High Ledges first, and then go downtown to Shelburne Falls to do the Potholes. Then, wander around this fabulous little town!

Driving Directions: Coming from the High Ledges, retrace your steps back to Route 2 (The Mohawk Trail). Take a right and continue west on Route 2 for about 3 miles. At the blinking yellow light (just after the Mobil station on your left) take a left onto Route 2A. Follow 2A as it curves to the left, and enter downtown Shelburne Falls. Park anywhere downtown.

From I-91, take exit 26 and go around the rotary to get on Route 2 West (The Mohawk Trail). Follow this road for about 9 miles, and then continue with the directions above.

Walk: Find the less fragrant bridge and cross it into the town of Buckland. Take the lower of two roads to your left. Continue to the fishing pier. Facing the water, look under the right side of the pier.
