Alzate, along with Gaspar van Weerbecke, is mentioned specifically in chapter 11 of the fragmentary constitution B in VatS 687 as singers who had participated in the division of the entrance fee of 12 ducats paid by new singers even though both were sick at the time of the admission. The date he left the chapel is not known, but it certainly was before 1525.

Qualiter inter cantores dividenda sunt regalia
Cum cantor noviter admissus solverit regalia sua ut supradictum est videlicet ducatos x in una et ducatos duos in alia manibus constituentes in totum ducatos xii auri de camera. Ipsa regalia dividantur inter cantores participantes et interessantes admissioni cantoris predicti et interpresentes hoc est Rome commorantes etiam si in infirmitate constituti essent dummodo ipsa infirmitas non esset tam grandis seu periculosa ad vitam quod non possent cantores infirmi servire nec accedere ad quottidianum offitium ut fuit in Domino Gaspare Vebret et in Domino Matheo de Alzate.
