In January I taught a j-term class entitled Folding Paper, where I taught origami to eleven students, though I think they taught me more than I taught them. We folded nesting and flapping cranes, chopstick wrappers, lilies, waterbombs, persimmons, bookmarks, sanpans, offering trays, envelopes, morning glories, nesting boxes, and foxes. One of the students learned the fox fold at the National Zoo and taught us one morning.

There is currently an exhibit on the first floor of Neilson Library (just past circulation) where the students' work is on display. Photographs by Katherine Noble.
