Demo: Musical Lesson.

Create a stack of three cards.

Card 1:

Title: Musical Lessons

Author's name at the bottom.

2 buttons, taking to Lesson 1 and Lesson 2, with visual effects.

1 button for help ?: pops up a scrolling field of instructions.

1 field for instructions: hidden when card is first open; shown when click on button ?; hidden when click on field.

Card 2:

Graphics: a piano keyboard.

Buttons: one on each key. Clicking on button A plays the harpsichord note "A", on button B plays the note "B", etc.

1 button to take you back to "Music Lessons"

1 button to go to next lesson.

Card 3:

Graphics: clip art - a rabbit playing a trumpet.

1 transparent button on the rabbit. Click on it, play "boing".

1 button to take you back to "Musical Lessons"

1 button to go to previous card.

3.Animation in Hypercard. Show examples with scripts. Read scripts. Eg Earth animation. Go over play command - handout and available with lab+hwk from class home page.
