1910-1920

1912 Gus Calomiris, Angela’s father, immigrates to the United States1

1915 Maria Calomiris, Angela’s mother, immigrates to the United States2

1916 Born August 1st, 1916 to Gus and Maria Calomiris3

1921-1930

Between 1920 and 1930 Gus Calomiris dies. 4

1927 Maria Calomiris gives birth to Hellen Calomiris5

1931-1940

April 10th, 1930 Reported to be living with her Mother in Brooklyn as “Angeline Calomiris,” marked as age thirteen.6

April 15th, 1930 Reported to be living at the Sevilla Home for Chidlren as “Angelus J Calomiris,” marked as age fourteen.7

July 1932 Harry Calomiris, Angela’s younger brother, dies at Cumberland State Hospital.8

1934 Claims she finished high school in Red Masquerade.9

1935 Documented as Feature Editors in the 1935 Straubenmuller Textile High School yearbook.10

1938 Gets involved with the New York Photo League.11

1940 Smith Act is passed.

Passes a civil service examination for playground director in NYC schools.12

Reported to be living at 9 Jane Street with Gladys Cosner, who she calls “Betty” in Red Masquerade.13

1941-1950

1942 Gets involved with the FBI as an informant.14

1944 Starts to rent the studio at 9 ½ Jane Street.15

1949 Her informant career ends and she testifies in the Foley Square Smith Act Trials.16

1951-1960

1950 Published Red Masquerade.17

March 14-30, 1950 Travels to London with her girlfriend, Marta Robinet (Myrtis Johnson).18

1952 Sponsored Fred Stein’s citizenship19

Early 1950s Relations ends with Marta Robinet.20

1961-1980

1961 Purchases Angel’s Landing in Provincetown, MA.21

1965 Receives letter from Marta Robinet denouncing their romantic relationship.22

1981-1995

1995 Dies January 30 in San Miguel de Allende, México, accompanied by an unknown girlfriend.
