Mathematical Biology REU at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln this summer, with the specific topic “Where can you find the population in a river?”  I am co-mentor for this project along with my UNL colleague Yu Jin.  Yu is a former post doc of Mark Lewis at the University of Alberta, and we are combining her knowledge of the subject with my experience in undergraduate research mentoring.  More information about our program can be found at http://www.unl.edu/summerprogram/math.  Preference given to first-generation college students, students of underrepresented minorities, and students who do not have significant research opportunities at their home institutions.
