June 2013 – Student wins best poster award at the International Congress of Development Biology

Kimberly Johnson, graduate student in Michael Barresi’s lab (Biology, Smith), won best poster award at the International  Congress of the Society of Development Biology for her poster: Kif11 dependent cell cycle progression in radial glial cells is required for proper neurogenesis in the zebrafish neural tube. The mathematical modeling part of the work was done in collaboration with Nessy Tania and Christophe Golé  (Math & Stats). This work was the basis of a module in the Frontiers in Biomath course in Spring 2013.
