Issue XV, “Reflections”, Fall 2019
Deadline extension: December 31, 2019
Inspired by the Lewis Global Studies Center’s annual Global Encounters photo collections, our first Global Impressions issue for 2019-2020 is “Reflections”. We would love to hear your experiences of global encounters — whether studying or traveling abroad, experiencing a different culture, or seeing global issues through a local context. We welcome your stories, essays or poetry about a photo you have taken – what story or impression does it convey? What were you experiencing in that place and time? What connections does the image make to your life or the world around you?
Stories and essays can have a word count between 500 and 750 words, and poetry submissions should be less than 500 words. Additional questions may be directed to our editorial team at globalimpressions@smith.edu.
Submissions are now open.
PLEASE NOTE: the deadline has been extended to December 31, 2019.
