Of the 708 first-years arriving at Smith this fall, 15 percent are international students. One of them, Asma Amin, is profiled below.
Asma Amin is joining the Smith College class of 2015 from Afghanistan. Asma first came to the United States to attend Stoneleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, Massachusetts with the support of the Peter M. Goodrich Memorial Foundation. The foundation—created in honor of Peter Goodrich who died on September 11, 2001 aboard United Airlines Flight 175—supports a number of male and female Afghan exchange students who are furthering their education in the United States.
Welcome to Smith, Asma!
Great Asma! I am proud of you. Keep it up.
