Smith College Associate Professor Suzanne Gottschang recently spoke about China’s rising divorce rate on China Radio International.
Professor Gottschang, who is a professor of Anthropology and East Asian Studies at Smith, received her Ph.D. in anthropology from the University of Pittsburgh in 1998 and a masters degree in public health and anthropology from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research focuses on women, health, policy, and social and economic change in mainland China.
Gottschang joined two other panelists to discuss the fact that China’s divorce rate has been rising steadily for seven consecutive years.
