Expanding its long tradition of featuring international art, the Smith College Museum of Art (SCMA) opens a new exhibition today, showcasing nearly 30 Chinese works of art from the Tang dynasty.The exhibition, Transcending Boundaries, is on loan from the Yale University Art Gallery and “explores cultural influences in Tang daily life and the development of religious and mortuary arts through ceramics, sculpture, and metalwork.”
Transcending Boundaries will be displayed at the Smith College Museum of Art from September 16 through December 18, 2011. For more information, visit SCMA online.
