On Thursday, November 3, there will be a presentation of the Major and Minor in Latin American and Latino/a Studies, as well as presentations for the Majors and Minors in Spanish and Portuguese-Brazilian Studies.
The interdisciplinary major in Latin American and Latino/a Studies “acquaints students with the emergence of new cultures that developed as a result of the meeting of Native Americans, Africans and European invaders, and examines contemporary issues affecting the area”, while the Department of Spanish and Portuguese offers a wide range of courses in the languages, literatures, and cultures of the Spanish and Portuguese speaking world.
Students will have an opportunity to meet with faculty at noon in Seelye 207. A pizza lunch will be served.
