This summer, Smith will host events for alumnae in Europe and Asia.
Smith in Europe will bring together European alumnae, guest speakers, and Smith faculty for a weekend exploring Amsterdam. The event, which will take place the first weekend in June, will serve as a reunion for European alumnae.
Meanwhile, President Carol T. Christ, faculty, and alumnae will be gathering in Singapore the first weekend in June. The event will celebrate the power of a Smith education and the profound impact it has on the lives of women. The three-day women’s global leadership forum will feature panels, discussions, and lectures on women’s roles in the world. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet current Smith students and alumnae from the region and enjoy some of the cultural highlights of Singapore.
Among the invited presenters are Judith Fergin ’73, US Ambassador to East Timor; Carol A. Rodley ’76, US Ambassador to Cambodia; Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy ’02, award-winning filmmaker; and Kishore Mahbubani, Dean and Professor in the Practice of Public Policy, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore.
