This Thursday, March 1, Smith’s Southeast Asian Alliance will present Supporting Women’s Education in Developing Countries: Why We Should Care and How to Do It. Smith trustees Mona Sinha ’88 and Hoon Eng Koo ’73 will present and a Q&A session will follow.
The event is free and open to the public. It will take place in Neilson Browsing Room from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
A second event focusing on fostering women’s leadership in Southeast Asia will feature sisters Barbara Hou ’03 and Carolyn Hou ’12. They will talk about the Asian Women’s Leadership University and how women’s education and leadership will bring about development in Southeast Asia. This presentation will take place in the Neilson Browsing Room beginning at 7 p.m.
