Five College Japanese Speech Contest to be held this month

On Saturday, March 31, Smith College will host the Second Five College Japanese Speech Contest. The contest, which begins at 1 p.m., will be followed by a reception.

Japanese language students from Smith, Mount Holyoke, Amherst, Hampshire, and UMass Amherst will compete on four different levels: First Year, Second Year, Third Year, Fourth Year+. There will also be performances organized and performed by cross-campus Japanese student organizations.

Sponsored by the Five College East Asian Language Program, the Japan Foundation, and the Consulate-General of Japan in Boston, the speech contest will be held in Neilson Library Browsing Room. All are welcome to attend.
