This year’s International Students’ Preorientation (ISP) program kicks off today, August 22. More than 100 new international students will be coming to campus for their first year at Smith College.
ISP involves international students in a variety of activities aimed at helping to acclimate them to campus. In addition to campus tours and visits to the libraries, student will also participate in immigration workshops, team building exercises, and learn more about college, a liberal arts education, and how to access the services available at Smith.
Students at ISP will also have an opportunity to go shopping at local malls and can participate in bowling outings. The program will wrap up with a group photo (where students are encouraged to wear traditional dress), a reflection paper and evaluation, and a group dinner.
Welcome, international Smithies!
