This Thursday and Friday, November 15 and 16, the Global Studies Center (GSC) hosts Lilianna Herrero, renowned Argentinean musician. On Thursday, Herrero will give a lecture at Smith at 4:30 p.m. in Earle Recital Hall, Sage. The following day, she will be the special guest at a Global Salon and later that evening will team with Argentine jazz composer Guillermo Klein for a concert, Navega (Sail!).
The GSC’s Global Salon with Lilianna Herrero is at noon on Friday, November 16. Herrero will share her experience traveling across Latin America as the host of a television documentary about the history of Latin American song. Pizza lunch will be served.
That evening at 8 p.m. Herroro will perform in Sweeney Auditorium. Herrero will sing with the musical accompaniment by renowned Argentinean Jazz composer and performer, Guillermo Klein. The concert is free and open to the public.
