The Offices of the Provost, President, and Dean of the College are offering funding to support intensive summer language study by Smith students. The program, which is in its third year, enables students to attend highly-regarded language programs in the U.S. and abroad.
Rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible to apply for funding. Grants may be up to $5,000 and preference will be given to students on financial aid. Priority will also be given to students studying non-European languages and students who intend to use their summer study to prepare for future study abroad.
Applications are due in the Class Deans Office no later than Friday, March 15, 2013. Complete information about the program and its requirements can be found online at the Class Deans Office website. A list of summer programs in non-European languages can also be found online.
