As Smith College’s Women for the World campaign continues to gain momentum, celebratory events are happening around the world. On Tuesday, April 23, the college will host Women for the World: Smith’s Vision for the 21st Century in London, England for members of the European Smith community.
The event, which will celebrate the leadership of Smith women and the power of Smith in the world, will feature President Carol T. Christ reflecting on her tenure at Smith and sharing the details of Women for the World, Smith’s new campaign to re-imagine the liberal arts for the twenty-first century. Then, professors Robert Dorit and John Davis will lead discussions that draw on their research.
The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at The Royal Institution of Great Britain (21 Albemarle Street, London W1S 4BS). The cost is £21.50.
